  • Yes! But always consult a doctor as everyone has very individual and sometimes complex health issues. Chinese medicine often works hand in hand with Western medicine and complements the healing process.

  • Please be reassured, it is very difficult to damage your skin with this time-old technique. Go easy to start with and watch how the skin responds before continuing. Please note, gua sha should not be performed over broken skin, varicose veins, moles, cuts or bruises.

  • You will need to have a recognised therapist/beauty qualification in order to purchase complete this course. This includes but is not limited to: CIDESCO, CIBTAC, ITEC, NVQ and VTCT. If you hold a different qualification to one of those listed, please email Katie Blake on katie@katietheskinwhisperer.com to confirm you are able to purchase and complete the course. Upon completing the course please do check with your insurance provider to see if they will cover this, or alternatively we can help identify an alternative insurance provider.

  • The Facial Gua Sha Teacher Training Course enables you to teach group classes and one to one sessions (in person or online) and to guide others on how to use Gua Sha.

    The Facial Gua Sha Therapist Training Course enables therapists/beauticians to perform facial Gua Sha techniques on others in their salon/clinic/spa.

  • How long does the course take to complete?

    Depending on the time allocated and your expertise it can take between 12 to 20 hours to complete the training. You will need to read some of the manual before coming to the in-person training. The manual will be sent to you via a link, and you will need to do 6 hours practical learning with the team at the allocated location.
